Founding Members

S.O.U.L. was founded in 2015 by five moms in Montgomery County who had recently lost their children to drug overdose. S.O.U.L. came together in hopes of finding comfort and compassion in this unimaginable and tragic loss. Unfortunately, this small group of grieving mothers has grown significantly since then, and the group embraces new members monthly.

S.O.U.L. Coordination Committee & Operating Procedures.

The first item we worked on were the Operating Procedures to document the framework for S.O.U.L. The founding members of S.O.U.L. were asked to serve as honorary members of the coordination committee. We have also asked Beth Davidson to be an honorary founder since she helped us get the group off the ground. The honorary members will be mentors and advisors to the coordination committee.

Past members of the coordination committee are: Aida Calis, Debbie Coldsmith, Elena Suarez, Wendy Winter.
